The TAC Home screen with multiple drones paired but disconnected
The design for this new product considers the possibility of high-pressure environments by prioritizing an ergonomic layout, legible typography, appropriate tone, and a responsive interface with minimal unnecessary elements or transitions.
This design also marks the start of a new approach to operating a ground control system. Users no longer have to manage an operating system, radio network, and multiple apps just to configure their drone(s). Furthermore, we have enhanced and simplified the intricate processes of pairing devices, updating firmware, and transferring map data. The management of multiple drones has now become quicker and less exasperating, thanks to carefully designed walkthroughs, thoughtful messaging, comprehensive error handling, and rigorous QA testing.
We've taken all these steps to provide a seamless experience and create a reliable impression. We hope that all the care we put into this product is recognized when users get their hands on one this January. Get an idea of how it works through the Figma prototype below.
