Matching a Candidate’s Desired Culture to a Compatible Company

culturecliQ provides companies an intuitive way to define their culture in order to be matched up to candidates searching for a new opportunity with their desired culture.

It was a great experience for us here at RIIS to tackle this project in-house. There were a lot of wins in this project — we even beat our own record and ended the project with code coverage at 98%!

The Challenges

Developing the algorithm for categorizing a company’s culture was key to this project. With this being only phase one of the project, we also faced hard decisions about each feature’s value, size, and priority.

The Solution

Working closely with the product owner, a minimal viable product (MVP) was continually defined with the most valuable features being played first — of which was the algorithm that drove the whole application. Best practices were followed closely to bring transparency to the product owner regarding code coverage, progress, and roadblocks.
